Prom night was fun and yet tiring so we needed a place to have fun and relax. I and my friends decided to stay in Nobu City of Dreams Manila. It was truly the City of Dreams! After a long night, we arrived at the relaxing scent of the lobby to the spacious room. The room was well lighted by warm comfy lights and was overlooking the pool and Eco Park of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the living area was big enough to eat, rest, or work. The comfort room was fine but there was no bath tub.

The room was impressive but that is not all that Nobu hotel has to offer. Release the stress from a busy day at Nobu spa. Skilled therapists and natural stress relieving products is offered by Nobu hotel. Never skip leg day, chest day, or cardio because Nobu Fitness is up for you to use! It has complete equipments that will truly give you a good workout session and bring you to wellness. A hotel will never be complete without a swimming pool and of course Nobu has it for you. It is not a typical swimming pool though. It is an Eco Park that you can roam around and appreciate the tropical themed environment. It is truly a relaxing environment and a great place to release all stress and tension.

Nobu offers good environment and comfortable room but it will never be complete without food. A night in Nobu comes with a breakfast for two and the food is great! Premium dining at Nobu restaurant offers Japanese cuisines that are pleasing to the eyes and tongue.

My friends and I did really have a great stay in Nobu hotel. We had enough rest and enjoyed each other’s company at a very good environment. It was indeed a great time and I would suggest that if you want to get away or take a break from the busy life in the metro, you should come and visit Nobu Hotel City of Dreams at  Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City, Parañaque 1701, Manila, Philippines.

Teenage Life by Diego Dela Rosa

Teenage Life
https://www.youth.sg/Portals/0/Article/XjUbfqig7m.jpeg

My life so far, as a teenager, is like any other typical 16 year old boy's life would be- one giant roller-coaster ride. There would be many crazy adventures, amazing discoveries, tons of heartaches, and a huge part of self development. But yet each teenage life is still very unique and different from one another, hence, my teenage life.

As of now, I could say that I've been more free and happier than ever! Better relationships and bonds between friends and family, more crazy and spontaneous adventures, less pressure from almost everything, and living the way I prefer to live. Of course I would not be where I am today as a person, son, and brother, if it weren't for my selfless, supporting parents. If it weren't for them I would probably doing a lot of different vices.
 https://happyologist.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/happiness.jpeg

For me, the biggest part of being a modern day teenager, is school. In school, that's where they learn almost everything, and I'm not just talking about maths, philosophy, science, and all, but I'm also talking about what a teenager learns from his/her peers, friends, and everything social. This is where peer pressure comes along.
http://mchscityzen.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/happy.jpg

As a kid I was always told to never do this, and never do that. I would always stick that to my head and never have I ever thought about being whatever my parents told me not to be, but looking back at it, peer pressure played a big role in my life as a teenager. Like let's say I thought it was okay and normal for a minor like me to be drinking at parties, but looking back at it, I see this as a lesson. I was scolded by my parents because I was caught drinking at a party, but at the same time I saw it as something that isn't so bad.

Everything that I am going through right now is being gone through the majority of teenagers in the world. So I have no right to complain about anything and about why my folks scold me. It's just another lesson being learned at the end of the day, and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I once became the people my parents warned me about when I was a kid, and at that time, all I could think about was the guilt that would eat me alive, and the disappointment my parents would feel afterwards. But right now, I know that this is all part of my life and that it is not the end of the world.

So I don't have to worry about the change that would come, and the disappointments and heartaches I'd receive, right now I realize that this is all part of being a teenager and that there will always be hope for any of us to change if we start to feel that our life is falling apart. Science calls this puberty.

Being a teenager is probably the best part of life, so it's best if we make the most out of it.

Valeria 2016 by Edvard Feliciano

Valeria 2016

A night in full bloom

Valeria Definitely was a night in full bloom considering the amount of time spent for the
preparation and time well spent in the event. When prom night comes batch 2017 definitely stands
out from the rest of the batches. The Valeria experience awaits

A astonishing performance brought to you by our very own batch 2017 cotillion

Blue leaf Filipinas

A bold, risky yet intelligent move from our very own council to be the first batch to
not hold the event at a hotel but an events ground

Blue leaf Definitely did bloom as the young women in beautiful dresses and clean sharp men
had arrived in there suit and ties

The Event

The night had bloomed as the events unfolded, especially as the awards were given out

Keano Aniban and Patricia Villoria as our chosen prom king and queen

The Grand Ballroom

The event we have all looked forward to. Every prom is always ended with the dance as the dance floor was on fire, The truth had came out in our hearts desires

Each Individual had time to showcase how much of a true gentleman they can be towards the women, and how maturity can bring out the beauty in not only young men but especially to young women such as Batch 2017 itself.

Amateur's Guide to Intermittent Fasting by Sam Claro

Amateur's Guide to Intermittent Fasting

For all the amateurs out there who have no idea what intermittent fasting is, to answer your question no it is not a religious thing. Intermittent Fasting is a simple diet that would help you lose weight in a very simple manner. All you have to do is assign an eating window for your self (for beginners try a 4 hour window first) and just stick to it, only eat during your window and always drink water through out the day. The hunger strike will be hard at first but remember you will not die, the hunger is temporary because your stomach is not used to not getting food at that time and after a while the hunger dissipates and you are left with a thinner body

Dont't worry you won't die of hunger if you fast.

As well as getting thinner fasting would also help you because after a week of fasting if you try to eat the normal things you used to eat you would find your self getting full much faster than before because if your stomach shrinking in size. Here is a picture of the results of one of the people that tried IF.

Biggest reason why Intermittent Fasting is the best diet in my opinion is for me especially because I am not a fan of vegetables. Vegetables are very healthy for you and all but I hate having to eat vegetables just to be able to lose weight, but with IF (Intermittent Fasting) you can literally eat anything you want as long as it is something of normal proportion for example you can still eat a burger if you want as long as it's during your eating window.

My Experience withBrazilian Jiu jitsu by Sam Claro

My experience with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) - Samuel Tristan Claro

For those who are unaware Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an martial art that involves the use of your body to control someone else's without the use of strikes. The techniques of BJJ mainly consist of various chokes, joint locks and cranks to force the opponent to submit aka the “tapout”. What is a tapout you might ask? When a opponent puts you in a submission, that is either a choke or a joint lock and when the pain becomes too unbearable you will have to give up by tapping out, resulting in the opponent releasing the hold and achieving victory therefore losing the fight.
Back in our one-week APEC break, my mom and I decided to go to Singapore to visit my brother that studies there. I have made it a personal goal that at this vacation I wasn’t going to gain weight, I would actually do something productive. Since my brother was already really into BJJ (Brazilian Jiu JItsu) I had an upper hand because I wasn’t going in blindly because my brother has been training in a gym called BJJSin (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Singapore)

This whole time while we were just sight seeing the back of my mind I knew that I was going to my first BJJ class and I was terrified. The reason I was so scared is because first timers have to roll, rolling is the BJJ term for sparring and my brother told me early on that I would have to drop my ego because I would get tapped… a lot. By the end of that session I did get tapped… a lot. Obviously I’m exaggerating, but rolling for me anyways was actually really fun! I got tapped thrice out of the rolls I did. I did successfully tap one guy and almost another but the timer ran out. I didn't know much but each time I rolled I use the techniques that I learned I learn even more. This gave me a confidence boost and I wasn't scared to roll anymore even if the person was bigger than me.

In BJJ Technique beats size.

The people there were really nice from the coaches to the people I was drilling with, you don’t feel out of place and this is why BJJ people are one of the best people to be friends with because in BJJ especially you need to have an healthy ego because you will get tapped in a regular basis and if you have an ego you will not last. Its just a place where different people: students, businessmen etc. all go to this one place and everyone is the same no matter where you come from BJJ is universal. Without dragging this blog too long I will have one final message, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art that I recommend to everyone I know, and this is coming from someone who just took his first first class two months ago. Just try and stick to it for a while and you will see the changes in all aspects of your life
