CSA School Life Will Be Missed by Diego Dela Rosa

CSA School Life Will Be Missed

School, for me, was never exciting. As in it never was. It would only be okay for me when there would be an occasion, or event, or whatnot.

My school life is average in general, but what makes mine different from the rest is the memories I make every single day. I come from Colegio San Agustin, class of 11-K, batch 2017. My grades are not as high as I would want them to be, but they're not failing marks either.

I spent most of my life hours in CSA, and to me, those are hours well spent. Yes, I have encountered so many times wherein I would really hate on the system, and hate the rules, but I just learned to adapt to it and get over it. I must admit, I still disagree with some of the school's logic. But, I still choose to stay because of the friends and family I acknowledge. They are what makes CSA makati, CSA makati. If it weren't for all the people, teachers, and students, CSA would just be a boring school.

My academics, I mostly find very boring, and I really see no fun in it, but the teaching styles of all the teachers is what makes things interesting. They are the one's that encourage me to go to school everyday.
One word to describe CSA, is home. Yes, I disagree with the system, but I love the people who makes CSA feel just like home.

Friends in CSA, to me, are family. I know who my real friends are, and those are the ones who are there for me, at ALL times. I get a failing grade, my friends are there to help me, I pass all exams, my friends are there to celebrate with. They never fail to make me smile, and for all that, I do the same for all of them.

Teenage Life by Diego Dela Rosa

Teenage Life

My life so far, as a teenager, is like any other typical 16 year old boy's life would be- one giant roller-coaster ride. There would be many crazy adventures, amazing discoveries, tons of heartaches, and a huge part of self development. But yet each teenage life is still very unique and different from one another, hence, my teenage life.

As of now, I could say that I've been more free and happier than ever! Better relationships and bonds between friends and family, more crazy and spontaneous adventures, less pressure from almost everything, and living the way I prefer to live. Of course I would not be where I am today as a person, son, and brother, if it weren't for my selfless, supporting parents. If it weren't for them I would probably doing a lot of different vices.

For me, the biggest part of being a modern day teenager, is school. In school, that's where they learn almost everything, and I'm not just talking about maths, philosophy, science, and all, but I'm also talking about what a teenager learns from his/her peers, friends, and everything social. This is where peer pressure comes along.

As a kid I was always told to never do this, and never do that. I would always stick that to my head and never have I ever thought about being whatever my parents told me not to be, but looking back at it, peer pressure played a big role in my life as a teenager. Like let's say I thought it was okay and normal for a minor like me to be drinking at parties, but looking back at it, I see this as a lesson. I was scolded by my parents because I was caught drinking at a party, but at the same time I saw it as something that isn't so bad.

Everything that I am going through right now is being gone through the majority of teenagers in the world. So I have no right to complain about anything and about why my folks scold me. It's just another lesson being learned at the end of the day, and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I once became the people my parents warned me about when I was a kid, and at that time, all I could think about was the guilt that would eat me alive, and the disappointment my parents would feel afterwards. But right now, I know that this is all part of my life and that it is not the end of the world.

So I don't have to worry about the change that would come, and the disappointments and heartaches I'd receive, right now I realize that this is all part of being a teenager and that there will always be hope for any of us to change if we start to feel that our life is falling apart. Science calls this puberty.

Being a teenager is probably the best part of life, so it's best if we make the most out of it.
